Drees Homes had an existing employee recognition program where Customers, Trade Partners, and Employees could acknowledge exceptional service from Drees employees. However, the process was largely manual, requiring significant time and effort to review and collate data monthly. To enhance efficiency and user experience, Drees sought to:

  • Create a unified experience for different users (Customers, Trade Partners, Employees) to recognize Drees employees.
  • Automate the process of collating and publishing monthly recognition results.
  • Eliminate the manual labor involved in managing the recognition system.

The Solution

Rockhop implemented a solution using Microsoft Power Platform, seamlessly integrating it with Drees' existing Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The solution featured Power Pages for easy form submission by external users, while Power Automate facilitated processing and publication of recognition entries to a Power App that was visible to the company. The new system ensured that recognition could be securely submitted and shared without requiring manual intervention.

KEY FEATURES:

  • Power Pages: A user-friendly form submission interface for Customers, Trade Partners, and Employees, tailored to each group.
  • Power App: Consolidates and displays all approved monthly recognitions.
  • Automated Processing: Power Automate converted recognition submissions into PDFs or SharePoint pages.
  • SharePoint Integration: All recognized employees were listed monthly on SharePoint, categorized by the type of user submitting the recognition.
  • Approval Workflow: Automated notifications to approvers within Drees, ensuring all recognitions were reviewed before being published.

The Results

The CAREmark Recognition Program provided Drees with a streamlined, automated, and scalable system that:

  • Increased Efficiency: The manual review process was replaced by an automated solution, reducing administrative time significantly.
