However, time entry is a manual process tracking crew members' hours using paper or spreadsheets which is outdated, inefficient, and error-prone. The process took 1-2 days per week to manually enter time data into Acumatica, their ERP platform, for payroll and billing purposes.

Rockhop built a custom solution with Microsoft’s Power Platform, a system Mainelli was already familiar with as part of their Microsoft 365 environment. The Power App provides a user-friendly interface where foremen can enter time details for their crews, while accounting could review and approve the entries before submitting them to Acumatica via Power Automate.
This digital transformation resulted in a more streamlined and automated process, significantly reducing the time and errors associated with the previous paper-based method. Additionally, the app included offline capabilities for use in remote job sites, ensuring flexibility and reliability for field workers.
