Senior Solutions Architect for Data Analytics

About the Job

At Rockhop, the Senior Solutions Architect for Data Analytics serves as a trusted advisor and technical leader, helping clients modernize their data and analytics capabilities using Microsoft technologies. You'll work across the full solution lifecycle - from discovery and architecture through delivery and optimization - while mentoring teams, engaging executives, and ensuring every solution is aligned to measurable business outcomes. Leveraging expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure, and Power BI, you'll help organizations build the data foundations needed to power analytics, automation, and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform design and development of data structures, ETL pipelines, data integration frameworks and BI reporting

Provide architectural oversight and mentorship to data engineers and BI developers

Support pre-sales solutioning and proposal development

Collaborate with clients to translate business requirements into actionable architectures and roadmaps

Serve as the architectural lead across client engagements

Define end-to-end solutions for data ingestion, storage, processing, and reporting

Design scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure

Deliver solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks platforms

Qualifications & Skills

15+ years in data architecture, solution architecture or related roles, including designing and delivering cloud-based analytics solutions

Strong experience with Azure, Databricks and ADF

Proven track record delivering flexible scalable solutions

Deep experience designing and deploying Power BI solutions

Strong SQL, Python and or Scala

Expertise in dimensional data modeling

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders effectively

Mentoring and guiding junior team members

Bonus Skills

Experience with: AWS, GCP, Fabric, Synapse, Snowflake, Qlik, Tableau, Looker, Fivetran, Matillion

Familiarity with Agile and Azure DevOps

Exposure to AI/ML solution design

Data governance frameworks

Preferred Certifications

  • AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals 
  • MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals 
  • PL-900: Power Platform Fundamentals 
  • PL-200: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate 
  • PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate 
  • PL-600: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
