Hey everybody, this is Venice with Rockhop, and in this video I wanted to share my top takeaways from day one of Microsoft 365 Copilot Studio Architecture Boot Camp. Microsoft sees a vision of, in 2 to 5 years, we are working side by side along many agents. How are we going to get there?
Right now is phase one, working with tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot to help summarize, synthesize information, draft content, pulling content. The next step after this will be delegating work to agents, which is something that we are definitely talking about with customers all of the time, and that's building towards those use cases.
Then from there, phase three, the full-out version that they paint, is that agents are working together. So it's human-in-the-loop, but more and more so, there's a team of agents doing work and humans overseeing that work. So co-pilots and agents are going to see a lot of the same there.
And also from a development standpoint, the scale at which people can start getting value out of it and building on it is really similar to Power Platform, as there is a Copilot Light which is targeted at business users. The use case that was shared is a manager built a Copilot Studio agent on Copilot Light to answer some FAQs that she was getting really frequently from her reports.
So there is all scale of this, where that is probably like the beginner scale, that business users are welcome on this platform, all the way up to there is going to be full development teams supporting enterprise-level solutions for those teams of agents working together and a human overseeing.
The vision that they shared for this was like your iPhone, where your iPhone is your tool, and your iPhone has a bunch of apps on it, and those apps are the equivalent of your agent, right? So you go to the same tool every time. You're going to go to Microsoft 365, just like you go to your iPhone, but you will launch different apps from there depending on what work you're looking to get done.
So that was day one. It was super interesting to hear a refreshed and updated version of the vision and how we're going to get there, and what being a part of the partner–customer network of Microsoft will look like as we build there.
Thanks for watching, and I'll let you know about day two.
